Striker Olivier Giroud will miss Arsenal’s EFL Cup quarter-final with Southampton due to a groin injury.
Defender Mathieu Debuchy is out with a hamstring problem, but forward Lucas Perez is available for the tie at the Emirates Stadium after an ankle injury.
Midfielder Sofiane Boufal is available for Southampton after a knock as is Steven Davis (illness).
Forward Josh Sims, 19, is likely to be rested after making his senior debut in Sunday’s 1-0 league win over Everton.
Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has started both of Arsenal’s EFL Cup wins this season over Nottingham Forest and Reading.
“We want to go to Wembley, we want to go all the way,” said the 24-year-old.
“I dreamt of winning it the first day. We’ve only got three more games now so I’m really looking forward to playing Southampton at home.”
Southampton boss Claude Puel is hoping to win silverware in his first season in charge of the Saints.
“It’s an opportunity to try to win something,” the Frenchman said. “The last game against Everton was a fantastic game, with good intensity and a good physical level.”
