 President Muhammadu Buhari, has justified his allocation of three key ministries- Power, Works and Housing, to Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN). Buhari said Fashola did well as Lagos State governor and that he was capable of delivering. “The economic realities demanded that we merge ministries and we did,” Buhari told The Interview. “Putting three critical ministries under one man was determined by the ability to perform. “This is a man who had ruled a state excellently for eight years and as they say, the reward for hard work is more work,” Buhari stated. A police inspector has reportedly sent some pastors to beg on his behalf after raping a 15-year-old girl, Mary Udo, at gunpoint. The incident happened in Akwa Ibom, where the officer, whose identity has not been closed committed the shameful  act. According to Punch News, the victim’s uncle, Dr. Ime Stephen, revealed the story of the strange visit. Stephen stated that the police division where the rape suspect works have showed no sign of concern despite receiving a text message concerning the incident. Koffi Olomide was caught on camera assaulting one of his dancers after landing in Nairobi, Kenya today. The 60-year-old Congolese soukous singer and dancer, accompanied by his wife and a group of dancers, landed at the Jomo Kenyatta Airport to a rousing reception by a group of Kenyan fans waiting to receive him. In the short video, the rhumba maestro is seen approaching the group of dancers before viciously kicking one of them in the belly right before police officers that were present. A man has finally given up hope for his son as he posts a public notice in the Newspapers disowning him and cutting off his inheritance. According to the public notice, the man, Mr Andrew Chukwurah Nwora who hails from Awka, shares his reasons for disowning his son identified as Mr Bethel Nwora. The notice reveals that the son had threatened to kill him amongst other misconducts, for which reason he has cut off his 39-year-old son. He adds that upon his death, his son is not to participate in his funeral rites and would not be inheriting any of his properties. Mr Bethel is also not entitled to the grant of probate to his father’s will, as the notice adds a disclaimer warning people who transact with him in respect to Mr Nwora, do so at their own risk.

An elderly man said to be on his late 50s almost lost his life for stealing a power bank in one of the shops at Computer Village Jos. It was gathered that the man whose name was not disclosed went into one Mrs Amaka shop while her husband was away. Due to much customers in the shop, he tried to move away with a power bank, but was not lucky enough and he got caught. Nine persons on Thursday sustained various degrees of injury following an invasion by a gang of armed hoodlums who invaded the legislative chambers of the Ughelli South local government council during a legislative session by the lawmakers. The hoodlums, who were armed with guns, cutlasses, battle axes and other dangerous weapons, freely used them on their victims including five councillors, three staff of the council and the Clerk of the House who was stabbed on the head. It took the timely intervention of a team of military personnel who came to the rescue of the lawmakers, apprehended 18 of the hoodlums and handed them over to the police at the Ughelli Area Command for prosecution.
